The Quilt

One of our members, Christine, preached this morning. Using John 2, the story of the Wedding at Cana, Christine talked about how Jesus used the water jugs usually preserved for Jewish rituals for a new purpose: to carry good wine. He built a new symbol on an old tradition.

Then Christine talked about a quilt her grandmother made, making something new out of old, significant clothing. A quilt sewn to warm bodies in cold nights made from tradition.

It’s like RMF.  A comforting, progressive community of faith built on Anabaptist, Mennonite traditions.

Thank you, Christine.
